Remember when you were a kid and you couldn’t quite read yet, but you’d flip through the pages of a picture book and make up fantastical stories from the images on the pages? That’s what I want your photos to do for you. Someday, when you show someone you love your album, I want them to be able to picture themselves right there with you in that moment.

Living, not posing

Your photos should feel like the life you already love. You wouldn’t go out and stand in a field and smile at each other for an hour, so why should your photos look like that? We will start with ideas from your life - whether that’s sitting around and reading together or living on the edge.

Following your script

I won’t write your story for you - too much anyways. I’ll always be ready with prompts and poses to help move your session along, but I won’t over-direct a real moment or make you pose in ways that don’t feel like you.

  • A client fav (and mine too!), this session is ideal for those who love to see real and raw emotion in their photos, and want to document life as it really is right now. Imagine a walk through the park to get coffee, a ride around your favorite golf course, or an afternoon at home doing your favorite things. This option has no limit on the number of photos you’ll receive (I’ve been known to deliver over 100), and has a much more flexible timetable. It will give you room to get past the first awkward 20 minutes, let loose, and just enjoy your time together without rushing through it. You’ll receive previews within a week, and your full gallery no later than four weeks after your session date.

  • Getting both newborn and maternity photos within a couple of months of each other can be a lot, especially at such a busy and important time in your life. I get that! That’s why I’m offering a bundle for both sessions at a total cost of $600 when they’re booked at the same time. That’s $50 off for each session!

    Hospital newborn photos and studio sessions are an additional cost.

  • A quick session with simple posing for those who prefer a small gallery of 20 photos. Upgraded options are available upon request for extended family sessions including 10 or more people. Previews are not offered, and your gallery will be delivered within four weeks of your session date.

  • I do not offer individual mini sessions, but I do plan specific mini session days before Mother’s Day and Christmas (and sometimes randomly throughout the year if there is enough interest). Follow me on Instagram (@abi.d.photo) to stay in the loop about my next openings!

  • My pricing is the same for everyone - couples, families, seniors - even your pet lizard.

  • Every session comes with as much or as little planning help as you would like. I love to jump in and help with outfit inspo, reference photos, activities (for storytelling sessions) and anything else you are up for brainstorming together!
